A method of estimating accrued depreciation which recognizes the possibility of curing certain items of accrued depreciation. The cost to cure all curable items, both physical and functional, is estimated, and this sum is deducted from reproduction cost new of the improvements. A percentage lump-sum deduction covering all curable items is then derived by applying to the remaining reproduction cost new of the improvements the percentage resulting from dividing total economic life into economic age. 1, record 2, English, - modified%20age%2Dlife%20method

Par une variante de la [méthode âge-vie] on sépare tous les éléments touchés par la détérioration physique et la désuétude fonctionnelle curables et on en estime les coûts de réparation. L'étape suivante consiste à déduire du coût de remplacement neuf du bâtiment le coût de remplacement neuf des éléments détériorés mais considérés curables. Le pourcentage découlant du rapport entre l'âge effectif et la vie économique est alors appliqué au solde du coût de remplacement neuf du bâtiment pour déterminer la dépréciation physique incurable (...)
